Yes, No.

There are a lot of reasons why we delayed our discussion sessions with the stakeholder, Mr. Poh [Technical Support Officer, MAE], for so long most of which had to do with how much we've already completed for our project: DEVIANT. We spent so much time creating, re-creating, and making countless amendments. The process of creating DEVIANT has been nothing but mentally draining. But since we were given more time we are able to focus entirely on our project especially in Vuforia Studio. We were able to complete tool 1-6 and 30 which means we're more than ready to showcase our progress up till today.

However, when we finally met Mr. Poh, we considered his opinions that would make our project better. Some of the feedback given was to use simpler words and/or phrases, for instance, replacing the word “Locate” to “point the camera to tool setter”. Despite all the constructive criticism, we also felt that some feedback given was very unreasonable. One of the many reasons that made us upset was we were told to reconsider our graphical user interface, GUI, as it may be hard for the students the grasp. Despite all the effort and time we put into creating this, I believe that this GUI was simple to follow and intuitive. On top of that, with the current and modern technology, I'm well assured that students today are able to manage the experience with little to no help.

With all the feedback received, we got back to work and started reconstructing DEVIANT. We redrafted a plan from the beginning, Start Project, up until the last tool, Tool 30 - 3D Tester. One of the major changes we made was combining multiple sets of instructions in one AR. This will help reduce the numerous number of steps. But since there are many more things to redo and amend, I'll have to end this blog and continue working on my assembly in Autodesk Inventor. I'll check in again next week and keep you updated on our progress. If you ever feel like you want to give up, keep going and continue pushing. You'll come to see the light.

All the best & See you!
