Here's an update of the new version of DEVIANT.
The changes in this new & improved version may not be drastic but it provides a better experience for the user. The main difference between the previous versions was, in this new version, you may notice, in one AR experience, there are multiple sets of instructions. As compared to the older version, there were multiple instructions in between AR experience. The feedback given was it was very disruptive and the loading time between each detection was taking too long to load.
With this new change, it slowed down our progress by so much. On top of completing DEVIANT, we were also tasked to create a short clip of our project for the upcoming Engineering Show in January! So many things to do but so little time.
Despite being notified last minute, we still managed to plan, film and edit. We even managed to submit our video in the nick of time! Since this video was only a minute long, we looked on social media platform to get inspiration and we really liked how Casey Chan, also known as @chanmanprod, on Instagram, filmed his ad with McDonald's. It was short, simple and he portrayed the burger so well it made me drool. Before we began filming, we created a written storyboard to have a better idea of what we wanted to film.
Once the planning was done, we gathered all our items and started the filming process. During the filming process, we tried to recreate a similar concept and similar cinematography that Casey had. However, since the video was a minute long, we 'rent able to recreate the video exactly like how Casey had done his. Nonetheless, I was really happy with how the video turned out! It was well edited and filmed! It was a team effort from start until the end that I was thrilled with how it was produced! If you haven't seen our video, this is how it looks! Enjoy!
